One of the most striking features of `nakkasi' jewellery is that the gods/figures depicted seem to have a life-like quality.In this ornate nakkasi pendant the image of Lord Ganesha flanked by two Yalis (mythical creatures ,part lion, part elephant and part horse ; a motif used widely in temple architecture and jewellery) are reproduced in rare detail, in three dimensional repousse. An ornate necklace with an irresistable antique charm,this is sure to become a heirloom.
The pendant is hung on a peacock motif chain that is simply gorgeous. Crafted using techhniques used in ancient South Indian antique gold temple jewellery the entire piece is crafted in pure Sterling silver(92.5%) and oxidised. The necklace has been paired with matching earrings that come with a screw back closure (bombay screw).
